Fear-a-tactics

You want someone to do exactly what you say without question?

Scare the shit out of them.

Utilizing fear-a-tactics is probably the oldest trick in the book and one that we commonly see used in the US to establish real control. Think about it…

When slaves were taken from their homelands and brought over to America, they weren’t politely asked to work the fields in exchange for inhumane living conditions and treatment. They were told to work or die. Simple as that. And if anyone got out of line, they were brutally made out to be an example. Fearing for their lives, most slaves complied for hundreds of years.

When mass incarceration shot up in the US around the 1970’s, Nixon didn’t announce that he wanted to incarcerate hundreds of thousands of people based on petty, non-violent crimes, specifically targeting communities of color. He declared a “War on Drugs,” using rhetoric that would invoke fear in the hearts of the public. Fearing for their lives and the safety of their loved ones, most people agreed and allowed for these plans to be executed without a fight.

When the US government wanted to send the troops to Iraq back in 2003, they didn’t gain support by making a national PSA declaring that they needed to invade another country for the sake of striking oil. They told the world that it was their duty to protect the US from weapons of mass destruction (which were later discovered to have never existed) and pointed back to September 11th 2001, saying “you don’t want this to happen again.” Fearful for our lives, most Americans offered their full on support of the pointless war.

These are just a few examples of how the US has commonly used fear-a-tactics to disguise their agenda of ill will as something that was in the public’s best interest. Looking back, most people can agree that this was complete BS.

But why is this method so successful?

Fear has been shown to lower a person’s ability to really think things through. Fear invokes our survival instincts which oftentimes lead to irrational decision making. And when someone turns off their own rationale, it makes them much more susceptible to being led and controlled in ways that they normally wouldn’t. When your instinct kicks in, you don’t take the time to question things. You don’t take the time to do your own research and process your own decisions. You simply do whatever is obvious to you at that moment.

Fast forward to today.

The government has willingly invoked chaos with the promotion of a global plandemic. Numbers have been purposely distorted to make the threat of Covid appear greater than it really is. Civil liberties were taken away, jobs were lost, and people were put in a very vulnerable situation. All rationale has gone out the window for a lot of people simply because they are scared. Scared of death. Scared of not being able to provide for their families. Scared of the social repercussions.

Go get the vaccine to save your life” …or at least what’s left of it. That is the message that is headlining and if you are not rationally thinking for yourself, it looks like the only obvious choice. But if you take a step back from that fearful mindset and logically think things through, that is not the case.

Looking back at the history of things, do you really believe that the government truly has your best interest at heart with the way they are handling the Covid crisis. Or could there be some underlying agenda? I’ll leave that for you to decide.
