Get a Grip, You are in Control

It’s crazy just how far people have fallen into a false reality created by a socialist media regime. People have become so sensitive that the truth is somehow offensive. Let’s take Ted Cruz’s recent “get a job” comment in regards to the “unemployment crisis” for example. As federal pandemic assistance has come to an end, people are crying out about how they just don’t know what to do without the extra $300 weekly stipend that the government has provided for the past year. Yet, the idea of going out and finding a new source of income is apparently outlandish, disgusting and offensive.

Get a grip on reality people!

Despite how the media has worked to shape your opinions and create a false sense of entitlement, our government is not here to “save you.” Yes, the extra unemployment stipend seemed generous in the beginning, but do you not see the unhealthy dependency it has created amongst millions of Americans? With a reported 10.1 million people currently unemployed and over 11 million job openings, “Get a job,” is clearly the most logical solution here. However, there is mass outrage that anyone could possibly think to suggest it.

The problem is people have become so spoiled and entitled that they feel like the jobs available are “beneath them” and it is offensive for anyone to suggest that they go out and take these jobs for their survival. There’s no more hustle. There’s no more will power. There’s no more determination to take care of themselves and their families. People have fallen victim to this modern philosophy of you should only do what you love, instead of focusing on having a means of survival.

Now, I am not saying that you should be miserable and work a job that you will hate for the rest of your life. In fact, I strive to empower people to develop the skills, knowledge and tools to help them obtain the career, business and overall lifestyle that they desire. However, you have to understand that road to get there won’t always be easy. You will have to make sacrifices and do things that you don’t necessarily like sometimes. But that is life. The reality is nothing will be handed to you, you have to take the steps necessary to get there.

Losing your job in the midst of the Covid pandemic is unfortunate, but you can’t sit around waiting for someone to rectify the situation for you. It’s time to get off your high horse and get down in the trenches. Stop letting the media convince you that it is the government’s job to provide the solution because the fact is that it’s not. Your livelihood is in your hands and if you don’t action a plan to move forward, then you’ll simply be left behind.

It’s time for people to embrace this reality. Life is not always fair. It’s not always rainbows and sunshine. However, that’s no reason to let it spiral out of your control. This is your life and it will be what you make it. So for all you overly sensitive, easily offended people out there, here’s what you really need to hear:

I don’t care what the issue is, stop with the pity party and figure it out because despite what the media keeps telling you, no one else is going to do it for you.
